Bulls Lose Out on Kemp, Championship Dreams Squashed

With the 8th comeback chance for the 2006 Shawn Kemp, the Chicago Bulls did not select Shawn Kemp. In fact, they didn't even have to make the decision. Shawn Kemp made the decision for them by not even showing up. He apparently had travel problems and then opted to visit an ailing relative instead of going to the tryout, which is admirable, but what the hell? Did he use the trip just as an excuse to visit his family member? Can he not afford a plane ticket anymore? Actually...the Bulls probably didn't even pay. Anyway, it's too bad, he was the final piece to a Bulls championship, now they'll have to settle for the lottery again next summer.
