Gold is a great investment!

Would you like a gold coin? Sure, we all would. Right? Of course!

I've got Monex Deposit Company (MDC). You know what that mean? It means that I can buy silver, gold, or any other precious metals! I can get personal delivery in a timely fashion and convenient and safe storage at an independent bank or depository. They've been the leader in this for 30 years! Silver is available in two forms for investment: coin or ingot.

What are ingots? They are pure bullion cast in a convenient size and shape. And we all know what coins are. They have currency value. Now is the time to do it! World demand for silver exceeds annual production, and has every year since 1990. Why? Above ground stockpiles. They are running on the low side and even shrinking at a rapid rate! Buying gold and using it as an investment has been going on for years. I'm talking centuries. You see, it's all about purchase power that is unique. During the time of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans...all the way to more modern times...people have loved gold and considered it worth a lot. Men have been fascinated with the way it can change a life. But nowadays, it can diversify investments, protect your precious wealth and even preserve one's purchasing power! Isn't that awesome? I know if I bought gold I would want it to do those things for me. And the same is true for silver. Silver bullion is just as good for investment. And this is deep-rooted in history just as gold is. Since the end of WWII, the U.S. used to be the largest stockpiler of silver. But now it's dumped billions and billions of ounces of silver bars onto the world market. That has decreased silver prices. But what kind of products am I talking about? How about American eagle gold coins? You can buy them in units of 10 one-ounce coins for personal delivery! .9167 fine gold. Legal tender coin.

Check MDC. They have plenty of other products as well. Most of them are just as good as this. And Monex prides itself on having the best us silver coin prices and programs of anybody in this industry. And their staff is dedicated. I'm talking about the hardest hard asset pros in the industry!

Hollywood couldn't have written a better script

I wonder if the Hollywood bidding war has begun on rights to the story of the 15 hostages who were just freed in Colombia. It's already the best movie I've seen this year...even though it's an article...and oh yeah, a true story.

It's an unbelievable story: The Colombian National Military spending months to infiltrate the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (or FARC), posting as rebels themselves, and tricking the real rebels into handing over 15 hostages, including 3 American Contractors and a former Colombian Presidential candidate who was kidnapped by the rebels 6 years ago while campaigning. This is the kind of stuff movies are made of...or the kind of stuff Hollywood screws up with a movie. Because let's face it: Hollywood messes up a lot of movies, and this story pretty much stands on it's own already as the feel-good...anything of the year.

The script is already written. Hollywood wouldn't have to change a thing. (Even wardrobe is taken care of. Some of the Colombian security forces posing as FARC rebels on the helicopter that picked up the hostages were wearing Che Guevara shirts.) It's perfect... Yet, I've seen firsthand (make that, heard about firsthand, then seen on the screen) what studio development departments can do to potentially good films. They start to over think things, bring in way too many writers to "fix" scripts, and even, once the film has gone into production, let star actors take over films and practically rewrite them on set. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't. But the process is flawed, in my opinion. And since William Goldman said, "Nobody Knows Anything," in his book published in 1983, I'm guessing things aren't going to change.

So all I can say to Fox, Sony, Warner Bros., Disney, New Line (what's left), CAA, ICM, Endeavor, William Morris, Gersh, ABC, NBC, CBS, Viacom, Clear Channel, Rupert Murdoch and Ted Turner is: PLEASE DON'T SCREW THIS UP.

Team USA announced, entire country forced to root for Kobe

Fairweather Lakers fans, diehard Lakers fans, and Americans alike, will now all be forced to root for Kobe Bryant in the upcoming 2008 Olympic games in Beijing. Whether you've booed him in the past (or at the beginning of the regular season if you are a Lakers fan), you will be forced to swallow any disdain and root for the man the media has dubbed, "greatest player in the league." So light a candle, play John Lennon's "Imagine," do whatever you have to do; it's time to unite the country and regain USA Basketball's spot at the top. In your face, Jorge Garbosa. (He just seemed like the appropriate Euro player to taunt. Not really sure why.)

Here, I'll start liking Kobe now by saying this: I am really glad he is on the team. We really do need him. We need all the help we can get, and Kobe was dominant in last summer's qualifying tournament.

Rounding out the 12-man are Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, Tayshaun Prince, Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Michael Redd, and Deron Williams.

I'm also very glad to have these NBA stars aboard--although I'm concerned with our lack of depth down low. Luckily, the international game doesn't present too many dominant big men. Although, they did run into Sofoklis "Baby Shaq" Schortsanitis a few summers ago in the 2006 FIBA World Championship, and had a tough time. As long as Howard and Boozer can stay out of foul trouble we should be victorious. Although, the whole "Russian judge" thing does exist in international competition, unfortunately, so expect a few questionable calls. (You'll forget all about Tim Donaghey.)

Yes, it's time to rally behind Team USA and root them on to the gold medal. I, for one, am both excited and nervous, knowing that if we can't win it this year...well...I'm not sure what else we need to do.

Hopefully, Kobe and Team USA won't run into the team from Ireland though. (Get it? Because he just lost to the "Celtics" in the NBA Finals.) The Irish don't even have a team in the Olympics this year, but I'd be nervous if they did. Especially, if their top 3 players were Devin Garnett, Saul Pierce, and Jay Allen. Obviously, this is completely unrealistic. "Garnett" and "Pierce" are names of English origin, and "Allen" is a Scottish name. None of them would be allowed on the team.

In closing, USA! USA! USA!

The Silver Bulls

Silver Bulls? Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh. Silver Bulls?

No.

I'm talking about the real thing. I'm talking about actual silver. I'm not singing a Christmas song and replacing "bells" with "bulls." Sorry.

What about silver, you ask? Well, it's quite simple. It's awesome, and you can invest in it. I'm talking about MDC, or Monex Deposit Company. Their investment services are unmatched, to buy silver and other precious metals. And you can even have these precious metals delivered to your house, personally. You can also conveniently store them in safe storage or an independent bank. That's Shaggy Boombastic!

So silver is available in two different forms. What are they? Coin and ingot. Plain and simple. Ying and yang...kind of. If you want to invest in one of these forms, do it. Don't be scared. Do it, now. Ingots are generally silver ingots of pure bullion cast in a convenient size and shape. Coins have a currency value or they can also be defined as ingots.

Now is the absolute best time for investing in silver bullion. That means it's a good time to invest. I mean, the world demand exceeds annual production! And it's been this way since 1990...every year!

Silver bullion is low too, bro. Above ground stockpiles of it are getting smaller, and that shiny stuff might delete itself from the monitor that is the earth soon. They are approaching freakin' zero! That's not good for rich people. Also, Monex Precious Metals (MPM) is home to a staff that is so large, and so dedicated, that they decided to commit to you and help out with your precious metal investment needs. They are America's best dealer, with convenient market and competitive precious metals prices! Ahhh!!! Get on it now, mate!

The Bulls should draft Rose

The Chicago Bulls should draft Derrick Rose. Here is why. He kind of looks like a tiger, and tigers and bulls have never, in the history of the world, been put into the same ring (or court). But, I think if they ever teamed up, they would probably take over not only the NBA, but the world as well. I mean, think about it: Tigers and Bulls? Unstoppable.

Of course, Detroit may get mad, but hey, it's not like there are any baseball players that look like bulls. The Bulls got Derrick Rose fair and square. It was the ping pong balls. So in '08, go Team Tiger-Bull!

With the eleventh hour looming, Lakers deliver

The Los Angeles Lakers have survived...for now. In their potential eleventh hour (could the tie-in be any better?), they managed to beat the Boston Celtics to avoid elimination in Game 5. But now the series heads back to Boston and leaves LA still on the verge of elimination. And the Celtics had many missed opportunities to take the momentum and win Game 5. (Not to mention Paul Pierce had 38 points.) Will the Lakers change their fate and pull off the most miraculous comeback in NBA Finals history? Well, we at Eleventh Hour hope so. We have to pull for the hometown team...even if we are a little bit conflicted, considering the Celtics' color scheme is a close relative to ours--just a few shades down on the "Roy G. Biv" scale.

Despite the majority of mainstream media still writing the Lakers off after there less than dominating performance in Game 5, LA bloggers seem to be very optimistic about the Lakers' chances going into Game 6. Even "sports authority," Pink is the New Blog, is getting in on the conversation, showing exclusive pictures of celebrities courtside. As is Yahoo's sports blog, "Ball Don't Lie." And Cristela of the Mind of Mencia Blog is talking about how tough it is to be a Celtics fan in LA. Although, I'm not really sure who Cristela is, or why she writes for the Mind of Mencia Blog. Carlos Mencia doesn't even write his own blogs now? But I digress. Check out some of these interesting views in the blogosphere about the series:

Gold basketball shoes?

I wish I had a pair of basketball shoes made of gold. No, seriously. A pair that I can play in.

Well, you may not be able to do that. I don't know how flexible or safe gold shoes are. But, if you use Monex Deposit Company (MDC) you can purchase gold or other precious metals and get them delivered to your place or a convenient safe storage place! Or even an independent bank or depository place! And they'll do this immediately, man!

This company is even older than me too. They are 30 years old. I'd say 30 years young...but that's old, man. At least for me...for 3 more years. Okay, is this math confusing? Anyway, they are the USA's gold and precious metals investment leader. And gold is a great product to invest in. You can invest in it in one of it's two forms. Try coin or ingot. We all know what coin is. But what is ingot? Well, ingots are generally gold and pure bullion cast. That means they are made in a convenient size and shape. Get it? Okay, good. We can move on now.

Now, the whole art of buying gold thing has been recognized for absolute centuries. People have always known that it is the way to wealth and purchasing power--and people use to take like one shower a week! Gross! Gold bullion is also a unique investment that the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans even used. And nowadays, they still do! Cool!

Gold can change men's lives. The golden bar today is a proven investment diversifier. It protects your wealth, and your purchasing power, dog! Monex Precious Metals is home to a large and dedicated staff of hard asset pros who are absolutely committed to serving your precious metal investment needs. They are this country's best dealer. Convenient market? Done. Competive prices? Done. This blog? Done.

Sources: Bulls to hire D'Antoni

Get ready for a run and gun Bulls team! Coach D'Antoni has just been hired as the new Chicago Bulls coach...according to sources on ESPN. We'll see if it actually happens, but if you are like me--and I hope you are--, you are excited with this news. I definitely am.

In other news, John Paxson has just traded for Shaq and has signed John Stockton out of retirement. Just kidding...but I think they would really fit in with D'Antoni's offense. Get ready for the new, old Bulls, man. Get ready. I'm excited because I like the Suns, and I like the Bulls, and I like Coach D'Antoni, and I like Chicago, and I like Phoenix.

Bulls stars love Rihanna celebrity gossip...

In a recent interview with Elle, Rihanna answered a couple questions before getting to the topic on everyone’s mind…

On her hair: “I kept telling my managers, I’m cutting my hair. I’m cutting my hair. And they’re like, ‘How short? Not too short. Cut it how short?’ And I’m like, ‘Up to here.’ They never believed me. So when it was time to do the album cover [for Good Girl], the night before I cut it, I dyed it black.

We went straight to the photo shoot, and no one at the record label knew what I looked like. When we sent the pictures over, they saw the hair and they all loved it. They loved it.”

Rihanna in Elle

On her alcoholic father: “That was way, way, way back. We’re friends now. Now my dad is like the coolest person on the planet. He doesn’t smother me. He lets me live my life. And he’s been like that a lot, even when I was younger. He would watch me making a mistake and he wouldn’t stop me. My dad, he lets me make it and then I learn.”

On rumored boyfriend Chris Brown: “We’ve always been friends, but we’re very close now.”

Epocrates is what it's all about

This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

Did you know that free drug reference for iphone is actually available? It is. Now, the phone that you used to watch "Lazy Sunday"--the incredible SNL rap music video--can be used to actually do something that involves a job not in the creative/media world too! Cool! And I thought it was just to play Lil Wayne MP3s!

So physicians are going mobile, ya'll. I'm talkin' iPhone style baby. (The only way to use a phone.) Drug information is always on call with Epocrates. More than half of the doctors around now use PDAs or smartphones, and Epocrates is a huge reason why, man! Dog, I'm serious! Best believe it (as Big Boy says on Power 106)! It's radtastic! Their medical reference software is used by over 500,000 healthcare professionals, chief! They have a complete drug guide on their PDA or smartphone. It's fully-loaded. They can access all this great information that they need to prescribe the right medicine. And at a moment's notice! They can access information to help you with drug dosing, side effects and health plan coverage. Does anybody else see how ridiculously cool this is???

For example, if a physician or doctor is prescribing an antibiotic for a stubborn sinus infection, but the patient is already on Coumadin, then that particular doctor could pull out his tricked-out PDA/smartphone and try to find any possible harmful interactions between the two drugs. That way, he will know before he rights the prescription. Isn't that awesomness in a bottle (prescription of course)?

You still want to know more? You want to know exactly what the Epocrates drug reference guide offers? Okay. How about this:

Free medical Pocket PC software
Free medical Palm software
Free medical Windows Mobile software

They also launched a free drug reference for BlackBerry devices too. Oh my awesomeness/radicalness! And they are working closely with Apple to develop a downloadable drug guide for iPhones too! That will be great when that comes out. But in the meantime, doctors with an iPhone or iPod Touch can access Epocrates content by visiting m.epcorates.com on their Safari web browser.

Check it out now! You will not be sorry. I promise! :)

J-Lo rhymes with Reality Show...kind of

Jennifer Lopez is about the open her personal life for a new television series on TLC, the cable channel announced Wednesday.

The singer and new mom to twins will co-executive produce, co-create and star in the “docu-series,” which focuses on how Lopez juggles her career — including launching a new fragrance — with motherhood.

“I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together,” said Lopez.

Isn't that so awesome, you guys? I mean, seriously, J-Lo is the ish right now. Her career is so awesome right now. It's almost as good as when she was on In Living Color.

Good news for people with high hopes

It’s over for Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Scott Sartiano, her boyfriend of two years, a source confirms.

“They are currently split up as they’re living on different coasts and their lives are taking a different direction,” the source says. “They are still really close and you never know what is going to happen in the future.”

After her marriage with manager AJ DiScala ended in 2006, Sigler, 26, was inseparable from Sartiano, 33, a nightlife impresario in New York who co-owns Butter restaurant and the newly opened lounge 1OAK.
