Searching for the best products for consumers

Listen up if you care about getting good deals on products such as Frigidaire Dishwashers...

Is summer the biggest time to buy refrigerators? According to these guys it is... Retailers make profits during this time, because as the temperature rises, refrigerators have to work much harder to stay cool. So refrigerator compressors break down faster. And the older the processor, the more likely it is to break down. Rather than spend hundreds of dollars on repairs, a lot of consumers will just replace the entire refrigerator instead.

But nowadays, where do people, or "consumers", look first when they research a new fridge or other big-time appliance they need? Simple. Online. It is very likely that a good amount of time will be spent researching online. Up to 75%(...that's right...75%) of big-ticket consumer will do all of the research on their respective products online, but then 90% of those end up making their final purchases offline at a retailer that's local. Now, I ain't saying that this is bad, but you can see the role online product research has played in the current consumer market. It starts with search engines, but these engines are typically unable to find AND deliver the results that show you the exact local store with the exact product you want. But now, there is Krillion. And guess what? They solve this problem. They have something called the Krillion Localization Engine™. It scans the Web to find, integrate and present actionable local search results for the consumer who is ready to buy now! Isn't that awesome? I think it is. Not to mention that it launched in February 2007 (which means it's pretty new, relatively speaking) and has generated over 275 million pages of search results for local product information for major appliances. This hasn't been possible through search engines in the past...but now it is.

I think the best part though, is that Krillion delivers these results, divided into different categories. Here are those categories, below:

The first category is in major appliances: refrigerators, ovens, ranges, washers and dryers, and dishwashers.

Starting in July, Krillion will deliver search results for additional categories such as flat panel TVs, lawn and garden, seasonal appliances and others.

They also want to find and produce search results for national brands that are sold by national and regional “big box” retailers, that can actually be used efficiently by the consumer. I believe the average consumer will find Krillion's new search engine very useful.
